I get salad at a local salad place where you go in and choose your ingredients and then they put all the ingrediants you chose for your salad including the type of lettuce into a chopping machine. What comes out is yummy chopped evenly mixed ingrediants in a matter of seconds.
So I tried doing this in my food processor and no matter how little I tried pulsing it- it cut the pieces of my salad way too little- almost to a salsa. Especially the leaves of lettuce.
What kind of chopper do you think these guys use. I’d really like to get one. I would totally eat more salads if all I had to do to make one was dump all the ingrediants in a machine at once and it spit out a nicely chopped salad.

I love Mexican restaurant salsa because the consistency is thin, like ketchup. But when I buy salsa in the grocery store, it’s all the chunky kind! I’ve tried putting it in a food processor, but that doesn’t work. Does anyone know of a thin salsa brand out there?

I threw some tomatos, jalapenos, lime juice and onion into my food processor, and the salsa came out watery! I made quite a bit of this stuff. It tastes ok, but the consistency is wrong. What did I do wrong? And is there something I can do to fix the batch i just made?

I am trying to perfect my salsa recipte. The biggest problem I am having is getting a strong cilantro flavor. When I chop up the cilantro in my food processor I notice there is not a strong flavor. If U used a knife would that be better..

I make a great salsa in my food processor using various canned tomato sauces and canned stewwed tomatoes. I also add fresh cilantro, onion, garlic and lime. I want to take it when I fly home (back east) as presents. Since the base is from mostly canned items, do i need to cook the salsa before canning? How do I can things? I was trying to make it so that it won’t need refridgeration….
Thanks!
