what kind of electric chopper will chop salad?

    Tuesday, January 31st, 2012

I get salad at a local salad place where you go in and choose your ingredients and then they put all the ingrediants you chose for your salad including the type of lettuce into a chopping machine. What comes out is yummy chopped evenly mixed ingrediants in a matter of seconds.

So I tried doing this in my food processor and no matter how little I tried pulsing it- it cut the pieces of my salad way too little- almost to a salsa. Especially the leaves of lettuce.

What kind of chopper do you think these guys use. I’d really like to get one. I would totally eat more salads if all I had to do to make one was dump all the ingrediants in a machine at once and it spit out a nicely chopped salad.

I have a recipe for mint chutney, what should I use to process the ingredients?

I basically need to pulverize/grind mint leaves, coriander leaves, an apple and various spices + lemon juice, etc. I have to get it to the consistency of a thick paste. Our food processor(s) seem only capable of getting to "very small chunks" – looks like mowed grass. Any suggestions as to what sort of device I need to buy? Thanks.

    A good Food processor?

Is there a food processor or device that will dice up roma tomatoes for salsa without making mush?

I have the same problem with cutting up fresh basil. I either get mush or whole leaves that are uncut.
