I get salad at a local salad place where you go in and choose your ingredients and then they put all the ingrediants you chose for your salad including the type of lettuce into a chopping machine. What comes out is yummy chopped evenly mixed ingrediants in a matter of seconds.
So I tried doing this in my food processor and no matter how little I tried pulsing it- it cut the pieces of my salad way too little- almost to a salsa. Especially the leaves of lettuce.
What kind of chopper do you think these guys use. I’d really like to get one. I would totally eat more salads if all I had to do to make one was dump all the ingrediants in a machine at once and it spit out a nicely chopped salad.

Is it ok to use aluminum foil over a cookie sheet or will that screw it up? My cookie sheet is kind of old / dirty.
I don’t have a mixer, but I have a food processor…to whip the butter and combine all the ingrediants, can I use a food processor with the plastic blade?
Thanks
winter – you’re talking about a microwave.

I am making buttercream icing and these are the ingrediants:
* Softened unsalted butter – ⅓ cup
* Confectioners sugar – 3 cups
* Milk – 1 to 2 tablespoons
* Vanilla extract – 1 teaspoon
it says to do this:
Start with processing the butter in the food processor for around forty seconds. After that add the confectioners sugar and run the processor for another sixty seconds. Meanwhile add vanilla extract and milk too. Make sure that the blend is without any lumps and is smooth and fluffy in texture.

It’s Friday and I’m ready to go home, take my shoes off, and relax with a cold drink!! However, there is one problem. I don’t know how to make any drinks! I’d like to use my blender (I know this is a messy idea but I barely use the thing!) and I was thinking of like a strawberry margarita. I can’t find any simple recipes for it though. Everything involves frozen strawberries and some sort of mix. I need easy (just a few ingrediants) and cheap (I’m low on funds). Any ideas?
