Food Processor broke, what is best replacement?

    Wednesday, September 14th, 2011

My food processor won’t work any more. It’s old and where the top has to fit into the lip in order to allow it to work has broken.

It’s a Hamilton Beach with all the different blades. I’ve loved it and used it for years, but now I have to get a new one. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Please share your opinions & experiences with Food Processor Brands. ANY good ones ?

I have not found a brand that lasts over a few months. I have had : Hamilton Beach, Regel, Oster & numerous others, all failing miserably in my kitchen. I should be their product tester, IF it survives ME then it can go to the public. UG !
WIll be checking our commercial grade shortly. The price can’t be any worse than replacing the darn thing every few months. Perhaps I need to take a break from cooking & give the manufacturers a rest. HA HA !

I also have a magic bullet but it cannot handle the amount of ingredients I use. The bullet I have is more for a single serving or 2. I DO however like it ! :) for the small jobs,

Making a Carrot souffle (casserole) – food processer questions?

    Tuesday, May 24th, 2011

Hello, for thanksgiving I am going to be making a carrot souffle for my family like the one you eat at restaurants or cafeterias. I am looking at this recipe:

    http://allrecipes.com//Recipe/cafeteria-carrot-souffle/Detail.aspx

People are telling me that I should use a food processer to make the carrots best for the dish. I was looking at Cuisinart’s food processer prices and they are just really expensive for me. I am looking online on Walmart.com and I found this food processer:

    http://www.walmart.com/ip/Hamilton-Beach-500-Watt-Chef-Prep-Food-Processor/5924589

For the price, is it worth it to buy? It’s got a lot of stars on it so hopefully that would be a hint for "yeah, buy it". And if you all have ever had experience with making carrot souffle or something similar, give me tips please? :)

    Thank you!!

Why is a food processor so much quieter than a blender?

    Thursday, February 3rd, 2011

My experience with using a Cruisinart 7-cup food processor is that the only noise it makes is a slight hum of the very powerful motor. However, using my Hamilton Beach blend makes a huge noise similar to that of a vacuum cleaner. Why is one machine’s motor so quiet and the other machine is so loud?

    Recommendations for a food processor?

    Saturday, December 4th, 2010

I’ve started getting into the raw food diet and I’m looking for a decent food processor that’s relatively inexpensive, by inexpensive I mean that the Vita-mix has already been suggested and that is WAY outta my price range for now (I plan on purchasing one within the next few years I just need something for the right now).

I’ve narrowed it down to Kitchen Aid, Hamilton beach and Cuisinart. What I really need this thing to do is to chop/grind and blend.

I bought a Magic Bullet about 4 years ago, and I have to say that it has worked beautifully but I need something larger and I also need something that grinds/blends stuff to the point of creamy and not just roughly chopped.

Any suggestions and or warnings to stay away from?
