I don’t have a food processor, so will a blender suffice.
Also I dont have the right type of pan to be able to put the pastry on top while the apples are cooking. Am I able to cook the pastry in the oven in a pie tin and then when the apples are cooked put them with the pastry and refridgerate it.
Thanks for all your help.

I love chicken salad, and in an attempt to start saving $$$ by spending a ton on lunch at work, I was going to start making chicken salad, but I have not clue how to make it. I know their is chicken, mayo, but how do you cook the chicken? I think my mom use to boil it, is this healthier? Also, do you need a food processor? Thanks. I think I have had it with grapes, apples in the past. Not a big fan of onions either. What is a healthy substitute for mayo?

How to prepare Boneless Pork Chops for Baby Food? I saw in the store Cut Boneless Pork Chops, (they looked flat like Ham steak, but pork chop) I make my daughters baby food from scratch, how should I cook these ? Boil ? or in oven ? Once cooked it goes in the food processor with a veggie or fruit – This in particular will be with apples, what type of apples will be best to go with this ?
Im looking to give her this as something new, shes had apples alone..
Thanks Jane ! That is a FANTASTIC IDEA !!! Thank You soooo much !! Hows your little one doing ?

I dont have a food processor or a blender and dont want to buy one, because I would rather manually puree/blend.
Is there anything you can recommend me in how I can puree and mash apples using manual, non-electric tools/kitchen devices?
I was thinking along the lines of mortar and pestle
